MADILL — The Ada Cougars overcame 11 converted 3-point shots by host Madill to register a 58-47 victory Tuesday night.
Ada, which improved to 4-2 on the season, saw four players reach double figures, led by Jake Shannon with 13, Jaxson Robinson with 11 and Jeremiah Alexander-Shaw and Tanner Gilliam with 10 apiece.
The Cougars totaled five treys on the night, as Shannon and Robinson had one each.
Cody Smith totaled eight points for the Cougars, while David Johnson and Trey Havens nailed one trey apiece.
Madill grabbed a 13-9 lead through one quarter, but Ada went on a 14-5 run in the second and took a 23-18 lead into the halftime locker room.
The Cougars then established more separation with a 16-5 third quarter to go up 39-23 heading into the fourth.
Diego Flores scored a game-best 18 points for Madill, but no other Wildcat player reached double figures. Flores drained six 3-pointers in the contest. Austin Maxey sank two 3-point shots for six points.
Ada is now idle until Tuesday, Dec. 18, when it hosts Seminole at the Cougar Activity Center.
