CLEVELAND – Three Ada High School wrestlers – junior Carter Patterson, senior Jonathan Fuller and junior Teondre Harrison – qualified for the Class 4A State Wrestling Tournament after each captured third place at regionals Saturday at Cleveland High School. Patterson, competing at 113 pounds, claimed a 6-4 decision over Cleveland’s Jacob Schwenker in the regional third-place match. At 132 pounds, Fuller registered a 5-3 decision over Sallisaw’s Hunter Williams for third place. Harrison, at 170 pounds, won a 5-3 overtime decision over Stilwell’s Chase Wolf in the third-place match. Also for Ada, Dylan Fisher finished sixth at 120 pounds and Hunter Wilson was sixth at 152. Patterson, Fuller and Harrison will compete in the state tournament beginning Friday at the State Fair Arena in Oklahoma City. The tournament runs through Saturday, and action begins at 10:30 a.m. each day. |
