The Ada High School boys tennis team placed three in the finals and won two championships as it secured the team title of its own tournament on Friday.
Ada posted a team score of 57, followed by Norman North at 54, Deer Creek at 52 and Duncan at 50.
Harrison Boggs and Reese Siegle were champions at No. 1 doubles, while Ryan McCortney and Lane Taylor combined to claim the No. 2 doubles crown for the Cougars.
Boggs and Siegle knocked off Norman North’s Miller and Sonne, 6-4, 6-2 in their title match while McCortney and Taylor were 6-3, 6-7, 10-7 winners in their finals match over Norman North’s Fusser and Chibanbaram.
At No. 2 singles, Ada’s Landon Swopes rolled to the finals but fell to Deer Creek’s Cooper Thomas in the finals as Cooper won 6-2, 6-1.
Christian Siegle claimed fifth place at No. 1 singles with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Durant’s Blake Barron in his final match of the tournament.
The next action for the Cougars will be March 26 at the Duncan West Tournament, to be held in Oklahoma City.
